We are seeking a Salaried GP to join the team - ideally 5-8 sessions per week, although we would consider 2 part-time appointments if appropriate. LOCATION This is a busy GMS practice in NE Coventry with easy access to Birmingham, London and beyond by M6 and the West Coast railway line. Birmigham Airport offers many international and domestic flghts. Coventry has much to offer for shopping and entertainment with a redeveloped City Centre. The local Ricoh Arena hosts many sporting and music events. Pleasant countryside in North and South Warwickshire is easily accessible with the Cotswolds only slightly further away. THE PRACTICE 14,000 Patients - mixed urban population Close to University Hospital (formerly known as Walsgrave) 8 GPs, of whom 7 are Partners. 4 Practice Nurses and a Health Care Assistant. Counselling, Alcohol Counselling, CPN and Ante-Natal clinics held on site. VISION clinical system Patient Panel High QOF achievement Medical Students and GP Registrar - close links to Warwick University Medical School and to the Local Medical Committee The practice operates between 7.30am and 7.00pm Mondays to Fridays.Saturday mornings are being considered. THE FUTURE The practice aims to play an enhanced role in training for clinical staff. One GP Partner will be retiring in 2010. Partnership may be on offer in the future for a suitable candidate, but this is unlikely to be considered for at least 2 years and is not offered in the initial contract. Salary will be dependent on skills and experience, with an attractive salary for the right applicant. We operate our own Local Rewards Scheme which has links to Agenda for Change. The surgery is open from 07.30 to 19.00 Monday to Friday excluding weekends and bank holidays, Hours are subject to agreement and discussion with other members of the nursing team.
